Questions, answered

Everything we get asked most about visiting, memberships, classes, and the equipment in the studio. Can't find your answer? Reach out — we're happy to help.

First visit

Do I need to book a tour, or can I just drop in?

Walk-ins are welcome during open studio hours — Tuesday through Saturday. If you'd like a guided tour of the equipment or a sit-down about classes and memberships, book ahead so we can set aside time for you.

Where are you located, and is there parking?

We are located on Litiz Pike, just North of Lancaster airport at the top of the hill above Target at Kissel Hill Village. We have a few parking spaces in the front and several around the rear of the building.

Can I bring my kids to look around?

Yes. The maker space and art studio are both family-friendly during open hours. For hands-on time with equipment, age requirements depend on the tool — ask when you book.

Membership & pricing

What does a membership include?

One membership unlocks the maker space during open hours. That includes access to the laser cutter, 3D printers, soldering station, and more to come

Do you offer day passes?

Yes, a $25 day pass gets you a full day of open studio access. It is the easiest way to try the space before committing to a monthly membership.

Can I pause or cancel my membership?

Memberships are month-to-month. Pause or cancel anytime by email; the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Is there a family plan?

Yes. The $75/month family membership covers up to four members of the same household, with the same studio access as the individual tiers.

Classes, camps & parties

Do I need experience to take a class?

No. Every class and every bench assumes you might be starting from zero. Instructors meet you where you are. Beginner sessions run alongside the open studio schedule.

How do I sign up for a class?

Class signup and payment will run through our online calendar once it's live. Until then, browse the course catalogue and they will have a link for booking.

Do you run summer camps and after-school programs?

Yes. We run summer camps, after-school sessions, and daytime classes. Schedules are seasonal, check the calendar or email for the current term.

Can I book the studio for a party or private event?

Yes. The studio is available for private bookings on Sundays and Mondays, and after hours on weekdays. Email us with your group size and date.

Tools & safety

What equipment do you have?

The maker space has an OmTech laser cutter/engrager, Prusa 3D printer, and similar CNC equipment coming soon.

Do I need training before using the equipment?

Yes for the fabrication tools. A short orientation is required before you can use the laser cutter, CNC, or 3D printers unattended.

Do you provide materials, or do I bring my own?

Both. Common materials: filament, basswood, acrylic, and limited finished products for laser engraving are available for purchase at cost. You are welcome to bring your own, subject to a quick material-safety check.

What about safety gear?

Safety glasses are required in the maker space and some materials may require a respirator and/or nitrile gloves. Required saftey equipment will be avialable for use.. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory on the fabrication floor at all times.
